Mom’s House 2016 Brew & Food Fest
Come and join us for the Mom’s House 2016 Brew & Food Fest, May 19, 6 to 9 pm, at the Endicott Visitor’s Center. I’m sure we’ll have a great time, and help Mom’s House while we’re at it.
For a donation of $25, you’ll be able to sample more than 17 Homebrews (more entrees still coming in), and you can vote for your favorite.
Food sampling is included from;
Smokey Legend BBQ
Jarets Stuffed Cubcakes
Treasure IceCream & Cafe
There’ll be Craft Beer samples from our 5 local Breweries;
Water Street Brewing Co.
The North Brewery
Galaxy Brewing Co.
If you want to enter your Homebrew, let me know.
We are getting everything lined up. I’m sure you’ll bring your “A Game.” Your beers are going to be judged separately, by our local Professional Brewers, and also by the folks attending the event, for 2 sets of prizes. There will be no set criteria, they’ll just vote for the beer they like best. This is meant to be a fun event, not so formal, as with BJCP.
Hungry Hound Beer Grain Treats and Doc’s Homebrew Supplies will be with us, too.
If you’re bringing kegs or bottles, we’ll have a bucket and ice to keep them cool. There’ll be dump buckets and rinse water, too. You’ll need to have your own dispensing gear, a picnic spout will be fine. The judges and attendees will each have a tasting glass. We’ll need to keep the samples at 2 to 3 ounces each, since we’re limiting the tickets to around 200 people, and we don’t want you to run out. Theoretically, 5 gal. is 200 ea. of 3.2 ounce samples, but you’ll likely get a little less than that out of a soda keg.
Please send us your info. as soon as possible, if you haven’t already, so we can make up the sign for your booth. Feel free to enter more than one style. Give us your best estimate of the following info, but if it comes out a little different, feel free to send us the changes later. And, pass this along to your brewing friends, we can always fit more entrees in.
We also need your e-mail and phone (cell preferred) for future, and last minute info.
Don’t forget, your cost for ingredients is tax deductible, since you’re contributing your beer to a charity.
