INAUGURAL MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

***THIS YEAR WE WILL BE REMEMBERING CHRISTOPHER FRANZ***

The Owego Hose Teams, Inc., a new charitable 501c3 not for profit, is hosting its first memorial tournament on June 3rd, 2017 at the Tioga Country Club in Nichols, NY in partnership with the Marine Corps League.  Teams and sponsors can register on this page.

The monies raised from the tournament this year will support both organizations operating funds and the restoration of the Baker Fireman’s Fountain in the Courthouse Square.  We have partnered with several local businesses and agencies to make this project a reality. The fountain was given to the Village of Owego and its firefighters in 1914 by Frank M. Baker as a memorial to his son, George Hobart Baker, who was killed in an automobile accident in 1913.   Both men had been members and chief engineers of the Owego Fire Department.  The fountain was last restored in 2000 and has again fallen into disrepair.

Your support for our tournament is greatly appreciated.

TAP NEW YORK BREW FEST - 20th Anniversary Event!

  • Hunter Mountain Ski Resort

LAST YEAR WE WON A BRONZE MEDAL FOR OUR CRAZY DAIZY BELGIAN TRIPEL!!!

TAP® New York started out 20 years ago with a couple hundred beer fanatics and a handful of craft brewers at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, and has grown into the largest craft beer and food event in New York State.

Craft brewing is alive and growing bigger than ever in New York State. The popularity of craft brewing has led to fuller bodied, flavorful brews featuring rich colors, bold flavors, and imaginative ingredients. People ask for it, and the brewers are answering. Many new craft breweries are opening every year, and we're both happy and proud to welcome them aboard.

TAP® New York has grown over tenfold through the years to now encompass the entire base areas at Hunter Mountain, plus added tent space. Over 120 breweries were invited for 2016, representing well over 300 individual beers, offer everything from IPAs and lagers to weissbiers, doppel and trippel bocks, stouts, ales... pretty much any variety you know of, and probably a few that you don't.

TAP® New York is also about food. Each year we offer plenty to eat. Daily cooking demonstrations will also show you some great ideas for your own kitchen.

TAP® is also a beer competition. Brewers from across the state enter their finest suds to compete for plaques and trophies. Each year on Saturday at TAP®, highly qualified judges choose the best craft brewery in New York State and also the best brewery in the Hudson Valley. On Sunday, the panel of judges decide the best individual beers in both the Hudson Valley and the entire state.

NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 WILL BE ADMITTED. VALID ID MUST BE CARRIED AT ALL TIMES AND PRODUCED UPON REQUEST.

We’ll be posting our participating vendors shortly but guests can anticipate over 30 New York State wineries, breweries and distilleries in addition to 40 local restaurants and caterers in attendance.  The tremendous variety and quality of our vendors will please your palate all-night long.
